According to the latest update of the Ericsson Mobility Report, 200 million mobile broadband subscriptions were added globally, reaching a total of 5.2 billion, and the mobile data traffic grew by 15 percent compared to the previous quarter.

Demonstration of new LTE-M enabled e-health concept for diabetes patients

Ericsson, Sony Mobile and Altair, a leading provider of LTE chipsets, will demonstrate a new e-health concept for diabetes monitoring at this year’s Mobile World Congress. The concept is based on a wearable prototype from Sony Mobile, powered by Altair’s ALT-1210 chipset with LTE-M/Cat-M1 connectivity and supported by Ericsson’s commercially available Massive IoT network solution.
