Ericsson selected by Cingular Wireless to deploy 3G UMTS/HSDPA network
Cingular Wireless LLC, the largest wireless carrier in the United States, has chosen Ericsson as a supplier and integrator in the buildout of Cingular's next generation voice and data network. Under the terms of the agreement, Ericsson will provide a portion of Cingular's UMTS/High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) packet core and radio network equipment.

Ericsson selected by 3 as network supplier in Scandinavia
3G operator 3 has awarded Ericsson an extension to their frame agreement to deliver core, radio, transmission equipment and related services in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and optionally Finland. The estimated value of the agreement, running to December 2007, is up to BSEK 2.55.
Ericsson announces additional CDMA2000 expansions with China Unicom
Ericsson today announced additional CDMA2000 1X infrastructure expansion contracts with China Unicom for approximately USD 90 million. The contracts cover Jiangsu, Yunnan, Heilongjiang and Liaoning provinces. Ericsson also announced expansion in Sichuan Province earlier this year.

Ericsson Mobile Platforms announced today that 30 percent of the world's WCDMA handsets sold during 2004 are based on Ericsson Mobile Platforms technology. Six of the top handset manufacturers in the world have license agreements with Ericsson Mobile Platforms for WCDMA.
