Ericsson announce the winners of Mobile Application Awards 2004

Ericsson rewarded yesterday, at a ceremony in Zurich, Switzerland, the winners of this year's best mobile applications in its annual Mobile Application Awards. The winning companies are Gavitec AG, Wayfinder Systems AB, Artificial Life Inc. and Softhouse Nordic AB.

Ericsson's M-USE service delivers world-class mobile music to Tele2's customers

European operator Tele2 today launched Ericsson's mobile music service M-USE. The service, which is branded "MusicBox" by Tele2, allows Tele2 customers to easily download a wide variety of music content from BMG, Sony Music, and Warner Music to their mobiles. Content from additional record labels will be available soon. The "MusicBox" service, which can be found on top of Tele2's mobile portal GoLive, is integrated, hosted, and managed by Ericsson.

Ericsson awarded GSM network expansion contract in Hebei, China

Ericsson announced today that it has signed a USD 50 million GSM network expansion contract with Hebei Mobile Communication Co., Limited. (Hebei Mobile) in Hebei Province, China. Under the contract, Ericsson will provide Hebei Mobile with network equipment and professional services. The contract will further enhance the strategic partnership between Ericsson and Hebei Mobile.

Cingular Wireless LLC, the largest wireless carrier in the United States, has chosen Ericsson as a supplier and integrator in the buildout of Cingular's next generation voice and data network. Under the terms of the agreement, Ericsson will provide a portion of Cingular's UMTS/High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) packet core and radio network equipment.
