BSP 8100

Portfolio

Ericsson BSP 8100 is blade server platform designed to run virtual or native telecom workloads in central office environments. Its software-defined hyperconverged architecture allows it to distribute workloads from multiple virtual network functions (VNF) across all the compute resources of its individual blade servers. Ericsson BSP 8100 is NEBS3 compliant.

OUR KEY BENEFITS

Telco-grade reliability

Software defined hyperconverged infrastructure optimized for demanding environments through NEBS3 compliance and fully redundant hardware and software configuration The inbuilt tracing and health check functions support trouble free operations.

Efficient Operations

The software defined infrastructure enables vPODs (virtual performance-optimized datacenters) for both native and/or virtualized workloads. Flexible and compact deployment options with small footprint, low noise and low power consumption.

Open

Ericsson BSP 8100 is based on Intel x86 technology supporting any server application, both Ericsson and third party, needing telecom grade availability.

Downloads Features

Telco-grade

Through its NEBS3 compliance, small footprint, and energy efficient configurations, Ericsson BSP 8100 is an optimal product for central office modernization and consolidation. All key components are duplicated and possible to replace at in-service operation (hot swappable), offering 99,999% availability. It is tailored to fit the needs of scalable telecom server applications with high requirements for networking capacity and processing capabilities.

Flexible

Its software-defined hyperconverged architecture enables you to configure the resources of its blade servers into virtual performance-optimized datacenters to host both native and virtualized workloads. When those vPODs are no longer needed, you can return their resources to the common pool for use by other workloads, reducing your need for spare hardware resources.

Several applications (tenants) can co-exist within the same blade server. Each tenant has its own set of blades (compute and storage resources), and tenants share the switching infrastructure. This provides a  complete  application separation and predictable behavior for capacity and availability.

Efficient operations

The capturing unit provides built-in protocol tracing for any application hosted at an installation. It captures, stores, decodes, and presents protocol information to support, for example, fast and efficient troubleshooting and customer complaint follow up. The built-in health check function ensures that the configuration is correct at all times.

Multi-Level Management

BSP 8100 leverages Ericsson’s extensive telecom industry experience to manage the  system, the VNFs, and service deployment. This management capability includes extensive operational and business system support (OSS/BSS), configurations, transport layer, performance, faults, and hardware and software versions and updates.
