Ericsson Intelligent Controller
Ericsson Intelligent Controller (EIC) is a new product part of the Ericsson Intelligent Automation Platform (EIAP) which is Ericsson’s Open RAN aligned service management and orchestration (SMO) solution. EIAP provides multivendor RAN automation, management, and orchestration of Cloud and Open Radio access networks. Ericsson differentiator is the extended support to purpose-built radio access networks.
Ericsson Intelligent Controller is the realization of the Non-RT RIC component in SMO providing a consolidated automation platform solving the challenges of today's networks while being prepared for the future.
Ericsson Intelligent Controller provides a safe and feature-rich execution environment for rApps that implement diverse use cases in the area of RAN automation.
Ericsson Intelligent Controller is built on an industry-aligned architecture and standard interfaces like R1, enabling an open ecosystem for innovation and portability of rApps.
A developers ecosystem will come with Ericsson Intelligent Controller, and aims to provide the developers with all resources and tools required to drive design, development and deployment of rApps. The ecosystem will provide assets like the developer`s portal, SDKs, tutorials, sample applications, API examples and documentation, test environment and market place.
