Wipro RSI Root Sequence Index rApp
The RSI and Preamble Collision Prediction and Visualization System is designed to proactively manage and optimize the Random-Access Channel (RACH) configuration in a cellular network (likely LTE/5G).
The system addresses the critical problem of RACH performance degradation caused by Root Sequence Index (RSI) and Preamble collisions between neighbouring cells.
Detects RSI Collision in cell configuration at Telco environment
RSI Collision detection:
Two neighboring cells (or sectors) have the same RSI value. This Impact Causes serious synchronization issues, especially during random access, as UEs (User Equipment) may pick the wrong root sequence.
RSI collision occurs when two adjacent cells are assigned to the same RSI, violating reuse constraints. This issue states that they are detected by RSI rApp and same are resolved.
Detects RSI confusion in cell configuration at Telco environment
RSI confusion detection:
Two cells have different RSI values, but the Zadoff-Chu root sequences generated from them are the same or cyclically shifted versions, leading to non-orthogonal PRACH preambles. This state Impact UEs can get confused during PRACH transmission, leading to preamble detection errors.
RSI confusion arises when different RSI values produce non-orthogonal Zadoff-Chu sequences due to root overlaps, causing ambiguity in PRACH detection. rApp on RSI detects this issue.
