Streaming Mobile Media will be a new distinguishing service feature in the next generation of mobile communication. Advanced streaming solutions, such as the ones included in the Ericsson Content Delivery Solution for Mobile Media, will increase the availability of content and make it easier for the operators to provide revenue generating Mobile Media services.

Successfully introducing streaming of Mobile Media puts high demands on the mobile network. It requires support of low-delay and high quality transmission as well as a solution supporting a variety of operator business models. Ericsson addresses this challenge with its Content Delivery Solution that is ready to be deployed in the mobile network thus ensuring short time to market, high quality and cost control.

As part of the new Content Delivery Solution, Ericsson will offer RealNetworks' products including Helix Universal Server to mobile operators. This will offer mobile users a richer experience by making additional Mobile Media content available.
