Ericsson's hosted push e-mail solution chosen by Sun Cellular

Ericsson's hosted enterprise solution allows operators to offer end-users access to both corporate and private e-mail, as well as other personal information management data while on the move. Ericsson will be responsible for the end-to-end system integration, as well as the hosting and management of the platform. The first managed services contract with Sun Cellular was announced in November 2004 and included hosting of a video streaming service.

The solution supports a wide-range of terminals and e-mail attachments can be downloaded, read and edited by the user and installation and maintenance are designed to be as simple and straightforward as possible.

The hosted enterprise solution is part of Ericsson's hosted offering. As a managed service, this offering makes is easier for operators to quickly launch and sustain profitable push e-mail and PIM data services while focusing on core business and avoiding costly investments.
