The Ericsson solution will support TCC to improve operational efficiency of their content and value-added service business, including content delivery and content management.  The platform will also enable applications that combine data and voice, for instance voice and MMS together, for consumers.

"Ericsson has the systems integration expertise, as well as the service delivery platform required to support us deliver seamless value-added services to a large number of our customers. That makes them an invaluable partner for our upcoming 3G services," said David Clarke, CTO of TCC.

Ericsson provides and integrates the complete service delivery solution, which is based on the Ericsson Service Delivery Platform. The platform consists of a service creation environment; common support functions for authentication, authorization and session management and common application enablers. It is built using Ericsson's standards-based framework and opens up the network in a secured and controlled way. Under the agreement Ericsson also provides business-consulting service to review and advise the various business processes within TCC in order to support the complete content and service life cycle management.

"This contract marks a significant milestone for us and approves customers trust for our systems integration ability. We take it to heart that we are able to play an important part in the success of TCC's innovative services offering for 2G, 2.5G and the coming 3G," said Mats Bosrup, President of Ericsson Taiwan.
