A private network designed and supplied by Ericsson to address technological needs, connects various elements of the enterprise’s production ecosystem in a closed circuit, providing increased security and reliability. Kamaz’s private network supports simultaneous work of 5G and LTE technologies. At the first stage, video surveillance and group communication systems, remote desktop and Remote Assistance applications are deployed on the network.

The carrier aggregation helped to achieve the required network characteristics: during the tests, the peak data transfer rate reached 46 Mbps in the 4G channel and 870 Mbps in the 5G channel. The use of dual connectivity, such as utilizing the 2100 MHz LTE band for transmitting 5G network signaling information, has significantly increased the coverage of the 5G base station in the 28 GHz band.

The network was deployed using Ericsson equipment, including Baseband 5216 and 2100 MHz panel antenna, as well as Radio 2219 2100 MHz, Baseband 6630 and 28000 MHz AIR 5121. 4G/5G Sony Xperia J8010 smartphone with installed Qualcomm client software, compatible with the server, was used as a terminal.
