MTS, Ericsson and Rosatom tested 5G-ready Private network at a wind farm

The private wireless network deployed on Ericsson Enterprise Core (4G-5G NSA) and Ericsson Radio System Macro equipment combines various technological services, including Push-to-Talk, Push-to-Video, employees’ geolocation services, telemetry for remote data collection from production and electricity meters, and intelligent surveillance system monitoring using of personal protective equipment at work, health and safety protection.

Additionally, video calls service and the Remote Assistant system were deployed on the network. The system allows to control work processes using AR glasses, deliver wind power facilities and record video/photo in high quality remotely.

And IoT telemetry collection devices and other digital services connected to a single secure network will automate processes, thereby reducing the workload”.

The network is deployed on industrial-grade Ericsson’s equipment for private cellular networks, including hardware and software for core network, LTE base stations, PTT/PTV group communication server, routers with built-in LTE modem and wearable terminals.

The Private LTE network guarantees an integrity, noise immunity and security of data transmitted from IoT sensors, M2M applications and other elements of the enterprise infrastructure. The added functionalities allow the company to combine all ecosystem elements into a single closed loop. At the same time, the corporate network traffic is protected from commercial network’s interferences and data leakage.
