Ericsson appoints Nora Wahby as new Head of Customer Unit Northern and Central Europe

Nora Wahby is appointed Head of Customer Unit Northern and Central Europe

As of September 1, 2023, Nora Wahby will take over the position of Head of Customer Unit Northern and Central Europe for Ericsson. Based in Sweden, she will lead the business with over 100 customers in 16 countries in the Nordics, Baltics and Central Europe.

Nora will succeed Daniel Ode who has been leading the Customer Unit as Acting Head in addition to his role as Head of GCU Telia Company. Nora and Daniel will work closely together to ensure a smooth transition. On September 1, 2023, Daniel will continue in his role as Head of GCU Telia Company at Ericsson.

As an industry veteran with 22 years of experience at Ericsson, Nora Wahby has played a pivotal role in driving the company's success. Having joined Ericsson Egypt as a Network Consultant in 2001, she quickly climbed the ranks, garnering valuable experience across several technical positions in Solution, Service Delivery and Sales. Before taking her role as Vice President and Head of Customer Unit West Africa and Morocco in 2018, she also held a variety of other managerial positions, including Key Account Manager Vodafone at Ericsson Egypt and Key Account Manager MTN for Ericsson in South Africa. Throughout her tenure, Nora has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a wealth of experience in the telecommunications industry.

Nora holds an MBA from the Arab Academy in Egypt and Michigan State School of Business in the United States of America. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from Ain Shams University, Egypt. With a diverse background that includes international experience, Nora is a dynamic leader who brings a unique perspective into her new position.

Having a wealth of expertise, Wahby is well-equipped to guide Ericsson's operations in Northern and Central Europe. Her strategic vision will drive the company forward, ensuring a seamless experience for customers and promoting technological advancements. Nora aims to focus on translating Ericsson's cutting-edge innovations into pioneering projects with customers. She is committed to implementing sustainable mobile broadband communication solutions and harnessing the power of 5G technology in Industry 4.0, mission-critical infrastructure, and emerging consumer services.
