Türk Telekom and Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) have signed an agreement for the deployment of Ericsson Dynamic Activation (EDA), a provisioning platform for the rapid and automated activation of telecommunications services in mixed network environments. This agreement expands Ericsson’s partnership and market share with Turk Telekom making Ericsson Turk Telekom’s mobile network IT provisioning partner.

The agreement will support Türk Telekom’s continued push towards network modernization and allow them to provide seamless integration of new technologies to be offered to TT Mobil customers. With the implementation of EDA, Türk Telekom will be able to easily integrate new technologies for its customers, and also optimize its provisioning processes while getting one step closer to realizing its 5G roadmap.  EDA will allow customers to benefit from new service offerings and improve Türk Telekom’s time to market across the country.

Yusuf Kıraç, Türk Telekom Chief Technology Officer said: “As Türk Telekom, the leader of Turkey's digital transformation, while preparing our country for 5G, we continue to make our customers feel valuable with the products and services we offer. We are delighted to expand our partnership with Ericsson for a better customer experience while achieving our digital transformation goals one by one.  It is important for us to work with a partner that understands our business and provides our networks with the flexibility and agility required to navigate the current mobile landscape as we get closer to our transition to 5G.”

EDA supports activation and provisioning of services for Türk Telekom Mobile’s hybrid multivendor networks environment dynamically, in real time. It also allows for a flexible and modular solution for the management of existing technologies while virtualized services are introduced.

Isil Yalcin Vice President and Head of Ericsson Turkey said: “We’re delighted to continue our long-term partnership with Türk Telekom Group. There are ambitious plans set out for Turkey Vision 2023, and a key enabler of these plans across industries is telecommunications infrastructure. In today’s digital world operators need to deliver services faster and in a flexible way in order to meet demands of digitalization. With EDA we help Türk Telekom achieve reliable and seamless user experience, along with operational efficiency. These improved efficiencies will benefit both consumers and enterprises, paving the way for a true diversified digital transformation that can future-proof any economy.”
