Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has won the Digital Transformation Award - Vendor at the Telecoms World Middle East Conference 2022. The award honors solution providers that have successfully offered the best solutions available for digital transformation.

The award recognizes the Ericsson Exposure and Service Enablement Solution that has been used with hundreds of mobile consumer services across the Middle East and Africa (MEA). Those mobile services were centered around enabling differentiated and new value-added services to end users. From an end user perspective, one aspect of Ericsson exposure solution is to provide differentiated quality of services to end users anywhere, anytime through providing them a channel to boost their connectivity quality and speed directly from their devices.

Lucky La Ricca, Vice President and Head of Digital Services at Ericsson Middle East and Africa says: “Ericsson is continuously enhancing and evolving its offerings to provide the best and latest technologies to our communication service providers to elevate their services and satisfy their end customers. The new exposure solution focuses on 3GPP application programming interface (APIs) with added Ericsson innovations for enhanced mobile broadband and Internet of Things (IoT) use cases in 4G and 5G. We are currently in the process of introducing new 4G/5G use cases to our customers and the 5G early adopters in Middle East and Africa. This recognition by Telecoms World Middle East is a testament to our work in the industry and it is an honor to be presented with the distinguishable Digital Transformation Award.”

The Ericsson Exposure solution helps communication service providers (CSPs) to enable new business models whether it is for Business-to-Developers (B2D), Business-to-Business (B2B), Business-to-Consumer (B2C) or Business-to-Business-to-External parties (B2B2X) use cases by establishing partner-based business models and bi-directional APIs that benefit from the exposed network capabilities in a controlled and secure way. Those use cases can be either Mobile Broadband or IoT with exposure APIs in 4G and 5G networks. The 5G network exposure product enables additional use cases and innovations such as edge sites or Multi-access edge computing (MEC) exposure capabilities between devices or subscribers towards the edge-based applications (such as edge cloud gaming or edge drone mission control applications).

The Digital Transformation Award - Vendor was presented at the Telecoms World Middle East Conference 2022, an event for strategy, innovation, and partnerships for the telecom’s ecosystem. The two-day event focuses on the strategies, technologies and big ideas that are essential for telecoms companies in 2022 through presentations and live interactive sessions from leading industry executives across the region.
