      Historic places that shaped innovation

      Malaysia

      Ericsson was established in Malaysia in 1964. In 1970 a factory was built in Shah Alam for making cables and AXE telephone exchanges.

      Great Britain

      In 1985, the British Telecom selected AXE as its second system for the British telephone network after its own System X.

      Poland

      Ericsson's activities in Poland began in 1901, when Poland was still under Russian rule.
