Want to get your networks operations to the next autonomy level?

Autonomous network operations are key for thriving in tomorrow’s differentiated connectivity landscape.

Ericsson is enhancing the Ericsson Operations Engine (EOE) portfolio and its operating model to align with the TM Forum’s Autonomous Operations Maturity Model and the Autonomous Network levels framework and methodology. This initiative aims to assist Communication Service Providers (CSPs) in transitioning from network management by humans to managing the machines that oversee the network. This shift promotes increased reliance on automated systems to make intelligent decisions quickly. Our operating model operates at a process scenario level, helping CSPs set attainable objectives focused on Return on Investment (ROI) rather than merely achieving a specific level of maturity.

Overcoming network automation challenges

Over the past two decades, automation became crucial for managing network complexity and controlling operational costs, but early efforts lacked standardization, causing fragmented software management challenges. Also, AI-driven solutions, developed by the industry, struggled with scaling and integration, leading to a complex tool landscape.

The emergence of service management and orchestration (SMO) introduced a unified data layer to support AI-driven automation at scale. This was the baseline for rApps to take the key role in redefining network automation.

With an open, flexible, and scalable framework, rApps enable seamless collaboration and innovation, empowering communications service providers (CSPs) to manage networks more efficiently and improve end user experience.

Networks have never been as complex as they are today and rApps are key to unlock the opportunities. Watch this video to learn more.

How rApps are driving the shift towards open, autonomous networks

The autonomous network revolution is accelerating and intelligent operations are key to unlocking its full potential. Our #rAppItUp video series explores how AI-powered rApps are transforming networks with greater efficiency and automation.

Delve into our experts’ insights on rApps and how they support cutting management costs, improving user experience and accelerating innovation to leap into the future of RAN.
