Tijuana, Mexico is a city torn apart by drug cartels. The Whitaker Peace and Development initiative, supported by Ericsson, gathers young people together to build peace.

Peace is not only the absence of war; it must be built also in places affected by conflicts that are born from the result of poverty and crime.

Tijuana, Mexico, has been torn apart by drug cartels. The Whitaker Peace and Development initiative, founded by actor Forest Whitaker, gathered 35 young people in Tijuana as part of a three-year program to help build peace in the community. Ericsson supports the foundation by providing access to the internet and ICT training, helping the Youth Peacemaker Network connect all over the world.

The WPDI training in Tijuana is one of the first of many endeavours to give future leaders the tools, training, and knowledge they need to create massive positive change in the world.
