On April 25, 2015 a devastating earthquake struck Nepal. Ericsson Response as part of the UN Emergency Telecom Cluster was immediately deployed to assist in the relief efforts.

Within 24 hours of arrival Ericsson Response had established the first internet access. During the first month of the mission, Ericsson Response supported more than 1000 users from over 130 humanitarian organisations aiding the millions of people affected by the disaster.
