Five-year contract to manage and operate UPC field operations. First managed services deal for Ericsson in Hungary. Ericsson to take responsibility for field and site maintenance activities in UPC’s network from 1 October 2015

Hungary’s leading cable telecommunications operator, UPC has signed a managed services contract with Ericsson for certain field operations and maintenance services. Ericsson’s technical capabilities and track record as global leader in managed services will enable UPC to deliver premium network experience for its customers.

Through the deal, Ericsson expands its managed services capabilities in the cable service area and reinforces its service business in the Central European region. This is the first managed services contract signed by Ericsson in Hungary. Under the five-year agreement, Ericsson will be responsible for certain field and site maintenance activities in UPC’s network and will contribute to premium customer experience to its subscribers.
