Ericsson and SK Telecom collaborate on 2016 5G field trial in Korea, including 5G radio prototypes delivering 25 Gbps throughput

Ericsson and SK Telecom, working together to drive 5G innovation since 2014, recently achieved peak downlink throughput of over 25 Gbps with Ericsson 5G Radio Prototypes, ready for field trials with SK Telecom in 2016. Achievement builds on companies’ recent agreement to build an end-to-end 5G trial system, and demonstration of 5G network slicing. Live demonstrations will be featured at MWC 2016

Ericsson brings together top global players to drive Cellular IoT ecosystem

Ericsson to host the GSMA’s Mobile IoT Initiative plenary meeting with 30 of the world’s leading telecom industry players to accelerate the commercial availability of cellular Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) technologies. Ericsson to demonstrate key cellular LPWA technologies and use cases with operators and ecosystem collaborators including Altair, Gemalto, Intel, Mahindra GenZe, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc, Quectel, Sequans, Sierra Wireless, AT&T, CMCC and Orange.
