Ericsson to source, integrate, host and manage content and applications for Telefónica Movil in Chile
Ericsson has signed a managed services contract with Telefónica Móvil Chile. The contracts include integration, implementation and hosting of Telefónica Móvil's mobile portal, and sourcing and distribution of content. Ericsson is responsible for round-the-clock operation and maintenance of the hosted solution.
Ericsson integrates, hosts and manages number portability services for Hungarian operators
Ericsson has signed managed services contracts with five Hungarian wireline operators - PanTel, Monortel, Invitel, Hungarotel and Emitel. The contracts include implementation, integration and hosting of a number portability service. Ericsson is responsible for round-the-clock operation and maintenance of the hosted solutions.
Ericsson and industry leading handset vendors show advances in 3G services at CommunicAsia 2004
At CommunicAsia 2004, Ericsson is demonstrating continued market progress for 3G-services with interoperable and commercial 3G handsets from eight leading handset vendors. The demonstrations will take place in Booth 4L1-01 in the outdoor area next to Hall 4.
Ericsson supplies full commercial EDGE system for Telenor Mobil
Ericsson has been chosen as supplier of a full commercial EDGE system for Norwegian mobile operator Telenor Mobil. The upgrade of their existing GSM/GPRS Ericsson network in Norway will enable launch of new consumer and enterprise services. The agreement also includes deliveries to the world's most northern mobile network at Svalbard.
Ericsson awarded GSM/GPRS expansion contract in China
Ericsson has signed a GSM/GPRS expansion contract , including equipment that supports the latest version of GPRS and EDGE, with Jiangsu Mobile Communication Co., Ltd. (Jiangsu Mobile). The value of the contract is USD 58 million. Under this expansion contract, Ericsson will provide Jiangsu Mobile with infrastructure systems, solutions and services.
