A big surprise, Bouygues Telecom, France
Bouygues Telecom, France chose to change its nodes in favor of Ericsson SGSN-MME with multi-access technology. Optimization and control functionality for smartphone signaling was introduced as part of the solution, bringing a 98 percent reduction in paging. A result that was almost too good to be true, according to the customer.
Ericsson and Entel Chile renew strategic partnership until 2018
Under the four-year agreement and as preferred supplier, Ericsson will modernize Entel’s 2G, 3G and 4G radio access core network using Ericsson’s AIR, antenna integrated radio unit and Evolved Packet Core (EPC).
Ericsson will also deploy Latin America’s first LTE network in the APT 700MHz band.
4G subscribers will be able to enjoy excellent in-building coverage, faster download speeds, improved throughput and low latency.
