Ericsson and Dobson Cellular bring GSM/GPRS/EDGE north to Alaska
Dobson Cellular has selected Ericsson as a key partner in upgrading its TDMA digital wireless network in Alaska with 850 MHz GSM/GPRS/EDGE radio access equipment. In addition to the equipment, Ericsson will provide network and RF design, installation, engineering, testing support and optimization services. The USD eight million deal is an expansion of a contract signed in September 2002.
Ericsson wins GSM expansion contract in China
Ericsson has signed a USD 56 million contract with Guangxi Mobile Communications Company Limited (Guangxi Mobile) for the expansion of their GSM network in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. This is the second expansion contract awarded to Ericsson by Guangxi Mobile during 2003.

Swisscom Mobile is the first operator in the world to launch M-USE, a new mobile music service developed by Ericsson in cooperation with Sony Music Germany. M-USE is an integral part of Swisscom Mobile's Vodafone Live! portal which was launched at the same time. The M-USE service offers the latest in mobile music content including artist pictures, ringtones, mobile music clips, artist news, and an advanced music recommendation service.
