Fiber-like connectivity: Ericsson and O2 Telefónica successfully demo 5G wireless backhaul for non-urban areas
In the latest of their joint projects in mobile transport, Ericsson and O2 Telefónica have successfully demoed 5G wireless backhaul for rural and suburban coverage. This technology milestone has shown that the companies can deliver speeds of up to 10 Gbps over a distance of more than 10 km and demonstrate fiber-like microwave connectivity.

Ericsson and Hiya aim to make spam and fraud calls a thing of the past
Spam and fraud calls have rapidly increased globally in 2022, with mobile subscribers currently receiving an average of 14 nuisance calls per month. The new solution, Call Qualification, will help communication service providers to prevent nuisance calls reaching subscribers. The first customer deployments of the new solution are expected later in 2022.
Appalachian Wireless brings 5G to eastern Kentucky with Ericsson
