A wide range of Antennas and RF Accessories are available to support different types of solutions and installations with MINI-LINK.
Several different types and sizes of antennas are available, e.g. integrated antennas from 0.3m up to 1.8m. Multi-band antennas combine two or three different frequencies in one and the same antenna. The Sway compensation antennas, for E-band installations, compensate for movement in the tower due to sunflower bending or wind effect. Water repellent antennas reduces water or snow buildup on the radome. Finally, large antennas for separate installations, can be found in sizes up to 3.7m.
To facilitate installations, and guarantee fast and cost-efficient rollout of typical configurations, different standardized site solutions are also available. The flexible design supports smooth expansion as the network grows

Water Repellent Antennas
Sam Agneessens explains how water on the radome can be reduced by water-repellent coatings for microwave antennas. This adds protection that does not affect radio wave propagation, and can significantly reduce water build-up on antennas. Water repellent antennas give up to 6 dB less fading. This enables 20-30% longer hops with the same availability.
