The program aims at bridging the knowledge gap to have more industry ready students, and provide training to students on telecom industry practices in order to reduce the growing demand supply gap. The EXCEL training program is a unification of web based self-learning courses, and instructor lead classroom seminars at the campuses including site visits, adding up to a total of 70 hours. A certification examination is conducted at the end of the program.

The program has successfully imparted training to 300 students, and certified 161 in 2009-10. Additionally, as a part of the EMPOWER Program; more than 335 students have got campus recruitment during 2009-2010. Moving further to 2010-2011, we have expanded the program to include 1600 students across 40 institutes in India for EXCEL certification.
