RAN Differentiated Connectivity 

RAN Differentiated Connectivity, in conjunction with network slicing, enhances user service during periods of congestion. This approach facilitates the simultaneous fulfillment of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for multiple services and allows for greater flexibility in establishing various optimization targets such as latency or throughput. Additionally, it offers enhanced observability, which is essential for ensuring that the provided experience aligns with expectations.

Critical IoT 

Critical IoT ensures the transmission and receipt of data within an acceptable timeframe.

Critical IoT Dedicated RAN facilitates precise indoor positioning by utilizing the Advanced Radio Dot System location support with Uplink Time Difference of Arrival. 

Outdoor Positioning

This Ericsson 5G Advanced solution consists of two components.

First, network-based technology generates new revenue streams in non-telco sectors such as finance, retail, healthcare, and IT, where device-agnostic network-based precise location is a key monetization asset.

Secondly, network-assisted UE-based technology generates new revenue streams in sectors like automobile and uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) that require centimeter-level accuracy. 5G Advanced Outdoor Positioning supports Uplink Angle of Arrival, which combined with High Resolution Timing Advance, can achieve an accuracy of approximately 20 meters.

The location accuracy of device-assisted positioning can be further improved to centimeter-level with the help of global navigation satellite system (GNSS) correction data.

RedCap

RedCap integrates all necessary functionalities for connecting Reduced Capability devices to the 5G network. RedCap devices offer lower complexity, improved cost efficiency, and extended battery life compared to a standard 5G smartphone chipset.

Mission Critical Services ensures selected users are served even in highly congested scenarios through Service Admission Control, Pre-emption, and prioritization functionalities.
