Mobile phones provide fast track to financial inclusion in Sub-Saharan Africa
Study of five countries in Sub-Saharan Africa reveals 63 percent of respondents are unbanked, and 52 percent use mobile money through agents. 20 percent of the population uses mobile money services on a mobile phone, and half of these people are unbanked. Among lower socioeconomic groups in Sub-Saharan Africa, four out of 10 people lack basic prerequisites for starting their own mobile money account.
Small Cell as a Service enables in-seat deliveries for Legia Warszawa football fans
Football fans attending Legia Warszawa home matches will be able to buy food and drinks using a mobile app and have it delivered to them in their seats. Fans will be able to scan a QR code on their seats to ensure that the food and drinks is delivered to the right place. All of this is possible thanks to a small cell access network designed, planned, built and managed by Ericsson.
