Ericsson has won two awards recently for innovations in 5G technology – one for 5G Radio Dot and the other, a joint award with IBM for a complete radio front-end solution on 28 GHz for 5G.

Ericsson and Swisscom demonstrate network slicing for critical communications

5.2 billion mobile broadband subscriptions
The number of mobile broadband subscriptions and volume of mobile data traffic continued to grow during the fourth quarter 2017. According to the latest update of the Ericsson Mobility Report, 200 million mobile broadband subscriptions were added globally, reaching a total of 5.2 billion, and the mobile data traffic grew by 15 percent compared to the previous quarter.
Eastlink upgrades VoLTE services with Ericsson in Canada
- Canadian operator Eastlink has selected Ericsson as the lead core network supplier for voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Wi-Fi calling
