Tech Talk - Impact of ICT from a climate perspective
In this Tech Talk, Senior Researcher Jens Malmodin from the Sustainability group in Ericsson Research explains how ICT is in a unique position to create efficiencies and open up new ways of working and organizing things that will help other industrial sectors reduce their GHG (Green House Gas) emissions. ICT solutions could help reduce global GHG emissions by up to 15 percent by 2030 –which is equivalent to more than the current carbon footprint of the EU and US combined.

600W quarter-brick power interface module (PIM) converter optimised for Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (ATCA) based server applications. Time to take society in a sustainable direction with ICT

Collaborative partnerships and research cooperation between academic institutes and industrial and public organizations are leading this change; one such example is the innovative research on ICT for sustainability being undertaken at KTH Royal Institute of Technology’s VINNOVA Centre for Sustainable Communications (CESC) in Stockholm, Sweden.
