Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC), China Unicom Network Technology Research Institute, China Unicom Sichuan Company, China Unicom Chengdu Branch and Qualcomm Technology, Inc. of Qualcomm Incorporated successfully accomplished a large-scale trial of three-carrier aggregation in Chengdu, capital city of Sichuan Province. The trial achieved a downlink peak rate of 375Mbps for single user, fully proving the large-scale field networking capabilities of carrier aggregation and further clarifying the roadmap for LTE network evolution.
