SingTel unveils first live LTE-A 300 Mbps service in Singapore
SingTel and Ericsson enabled speeds of up to 300Mbps with LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) carrier aggregation on the live LTE network by combining 20 MHz bandwidth each from SingTel’s 1800MHz and 2600MHz spectrum bands. Consumers in the Singapore Expo area can now expect a doubling of the current speeds, as well as improved mobile broadband experience and better app, browsing and media performance. Customers can look forward to the continued expansion of the 300 Mbps service throughout Singapore as SingTel and Ericsson roll out LTE-A in 2014 and 2015.
