Fair competition and a level playing field are essential to free markets and business must play its part to actively reinforce this throughout the value chain. Given that Free Trade Agreements offer little practical value to ICT products, countries should join WTO’s Information Technology Agreement (ITA and its expansion ITA2) which guarantee duty-free trade for IT & telecom products. This enables member countries to fully benefit from the productivity and innovation gains from IT & telecom products and services.
