Managing demand from mobile users during major events, as seen in Europe in summer 2024, is a complex task. Communications service providers face the dual challenge of meeting increased demand while ensuring flawless user experiences. To prepare for these events, service providers began enhancing the network infrastructure at least a year in advance. This proactive approach ensures the network can handle the increased demand.

Mobile network performance is closely linked to the number of users and the traffic load. With fewer users, performance is good, but as more users access the network, performance degrades.
