Access to digital connectivity for schools
Digital connectivity is a key driver of the 21st century economy. However, over 40 percent of the world's population still do not have access to the internet.
For young people in particular, digital connectivity can lead to powerful outcomes across education, training, employment, and entrepreneurial opportunities. Connecting schools and utilizing them as a hub for learning and community activities can significantly enhance the young peoples’ skills, especially in remote areas.
However, the rollout of connectivity for schools is lagging. Connect To Learn works with partners to advocate the removal of barriers to education and develop incentives that can rapidly increase the number of schools with digital connectivity.
We believe that schools represent an ideal starting point for connecting young people, and due to their fixed, physical nature they represent a tangible and measurable success indicator.
