Ericsson releases Mobility Report Mobile World Congress edition
Findings in the Ericsson Mobility Report Mobile World Congress edition, February 2015 reveal the top five apps in a given country dominate in terms of mobile traffic generated on smart devices. In the countries illustrated in the report - the US, South Korea, and Spain - they account for around two-thirds of app traffic over mobile networks, which reflects a global trend.

- Two-thirds of app data traffic over mobile networks comes from top five apps in each country studied, with video streaming and social networking dominating
- Total mobile video traffic of next six years will be around 17 times that of last six years
- Q4 2014: LTE subscriptions achieved higher net additions, with 110 million, than WCDMA/HSPA for the first time.
- FY 2014: 800 million smartphone subscriptions added worldwide taking the total number to 2.7 billion, up 40% from a total of 1.9 billion subscriptions in 2013

Ericsson expands systems integration capabilities for OSS/BSS in North America
Ericsson to acquire the assets of Canada-based TimelessMIND, a consulting and systems integration company.
Approximately 30 employees and consultants are expected to join Ericsson in Q2, 2015.
The acquisition complements Ericsson’s offering to telecom customers in North America.
