A big surprise, Bouygues Telecom, France
Bouygues Telecom, France chose to change its nodes in favor of Ericsson SGSN-MME with multi-access technology. Optimization and control functionality for smartphone signaling was introduced as part of the solution, bringing a 98 percent reduction in paging. A result that was almost too good to be true, according to the customer.
Ericsson and Entel Chile renew strategic partnership until 2018
Under the four-year agreement and as preferred supplier, Ericsson will modernize Entel’s 2G, 3G and 4G radio access core network using Ericsson’s AIR, antenna integrated radio unit and Evolved Packet Core (EPC).
