Ericsson and Umniah deploy AI-powered energy-saving solution in Jordan
- Ericsson has partnered with Umniah to deploy Ericsson’s Customer Support Service Continuity offering, which is based on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning enabling reduction in energy consumption in network operations through advanced Power Saving AI apps.
- Following a successful proof-of-concept that showed about 20 percent reduction in 5G daily power usage, the full-scale implementation aims to set a new standard for sustainable telecom practices.

Vodafone and Ericsson introduce compact antennas to boost 5G coverage in Germany
To combat the lack of space on rooftops in Germany and enhance urban 5G coverage, Vodafone, in collaboration with Ericsson, has introduced new compact antenna technology into their mobile network, starting with installations in Düsseldorf and aiming to add 500 more throughout Germany by the end of 2026.
