Ericsson demonstrates WCDMA, HSDPA phase 2 during CTIA Wireless 2005
During CTIA Wireless 2005 in New Orleans, Ericsson is demonstrating 11 Mbps high-speed data downloads and streaming applications over HSDPA phase 2 and a live WCDMA system. HSDPA, phase 2, increases the WCDMA system capacity and allow for peak rates up to 14 Mbps.
Ericsson to provide WCDMA system for U.S. Navy MUOS program
Ericsson, the world leader in mobile communications, has signed an agreement with General Dynamics to supply WCDMA wireless equipment and telecom services in support of the U.S. Navy contract awarded to Lockheed Martin to build the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS). The multi-year agreement could be worth as much as USD 200 million to Ericsson.

Ericsson IPX payment and delivery solution - easy and reliable for mobile operators and content providers
Covering more than 360 million mobile subscribers around the world, the Ericsson Internet Payment eXchange (IPX) solution greatly simplifies the business model between content providers, mobile operators and consumers. IPX allows consumers to purchase content from different content providers and pay using their mobile phone and the existing charging relation with the mobile operator.
Ericsson selected as sole supplier of core network and for upgrade to EDGE by operator Avea in Turkey
Ericsson has been selected by Avea to upgrade its GSM network in Turkey. Ericsson will merge two existing GSM networks, become the sole supplier of core network and upgrade the existing radio access network with EDGE technology.
