Ericsson partners to Connect Setiu Wetlands in Malaysia

Ericsson and the Yayasan Diraja Sultan Mizan Foundation have entered into an agreement to preserve the Setiu wetlands ecosystem and cultural heritage. The Connected Setiu Wetlands initiative is the first project of this scale in Malaysia that combines ICT technologies with environmental preservation efforts. Wetlands critical to preserve in the fight against climate change as well as key driver of local economies. Smart sensors show it’s possible to enhance and accelerate preservation efforts.

Hexatronic finalizes acquisition of Ericsson’s business in New Zealand

Today, July 1, 2016, Hexatronic acquires Ericsson’s (NASDAQ: ERIC) fiber cable and duct business in Wellington, New Zealand, according to the agreement that was announced on May 24, 2016. Hexatronic intends to continue operating the existing business and will keep the 19 employees.
