Nicolas Blixell is Head of Global Customer Unit MTN and Customer Unit MTN Africa at Ericsson Middle East & Africa, a position he has held since June 2018. Prior to this, he served as Head of Customer Unit West Africa at Ericsson Middle East and Africa where he was responsible for supporting operators across 24 countries to meet and exceed their strategic objectives using Ericsson Technology and Services.
Blixell has been with Ericsson for more than 10 years holding various leadership positions in Europe, North America and Asia. In 2012, as VP, Head of Sourcing Partnership and Mergers & Acquisitions, Region Asia South and Oceania (RASO), he contributed to RASO becoming 'Ericsson Sourcing Region of the Year' as well as headed successful transformation in organizational processes and culture in 2011.
He started his career in financial services in organizations based in Luxembourg and Sweden before crossing over to ICT in 2006. He has a passion for the industry and, along with the rest of Ericsson's executive team, is focused on advancing the company's leadership through innovation, technology, services and sustainable business solutions. In his new role, Blixell wants Ericsson to be the most active driver in the data growth Africa is about to capture.
Blixell holds an MSc in Financial Economics from the School of Economics and Management, Lund, Sweden and a Master of Entrepreneurship from Stockholm University, also in Sweden. He is fluent in French (native), Swedish (native) and English (fluent), plays the guitar and enjoys playing tennis, golf, running, fitness training.
