Core On-Demand functionality

4G and 5G network functions

Core On-Demand approach substantially simplifies the deployment and management of private wireless networks through the consolidation of essential 3GPP network functionality into a Core On-Demand instance.

This encapsulation includes essential functions such as:

  • Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF)

  • Session Management Function (SMF)

  • Mobility Management Entity (MME)

  • Serving Gateway Control Plane (SGW-C)

  • Packet Data Network Gateway Control Plane (PGW-C)

  • Unified Data Management (UDM)

  • User Plane Function (UPF)

  • Serving Gateway User Plane (SGW-U)

  • Packet Data Network Gateway User Plane (PGW-U)

  • Network Repository Function (NRF)

  • Home Subscriber Server (HSS)

  • Authentication Server Function (AUSF)

Core On-Demand handles the complex architectural details of 4G and 5G core networks so users can configure and manage them with ease. Core On-Demand achieves this by combining the network functionality and exposing only the essential configuration parameters and interfaces required for supporting private wireless access use cases.

The exposed Core On-Demand instance configuration parameters are consumed by the Core On-Demand instance applications to internally configure all encapsulated 3GPP core network functionality.
