      Vonage and Verizon to collaborate on Advanced Network APIs

      Ericsson-owned Vonage and US communications service provider Verizon have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) outlining their intention to introduce Verizon network Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to the Vonage platform that will enable the developer community to access network services and capabilities.       • Demonstration of 5G network slicing capabilities for mobile gaming and video conferencing shows potential for new and differentiated services for consumers and enterprise users.
      • The trial took place at the BT Group pilot cluster in Adastral Park, using a device powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2[1] for Galaxy Mobile Platform on an Ericsson-powered 5G Standalone (5G SA) network.
      • User Equipment Route Selection Policy (URSP) functionality enables a device to connect to multiple network slices simultaneously, meaning users can benefit from different slices and performance characteristics for different applications.
