Ericsson Hyperscale Datacenter System 8000 is the world's first complete system based on Intel® Rack Scale Design. Its disaggregated hardware architecture, software-defined infrastructure, and optical backplane are designed to manage the datacenter resources of telecom operators, service providers, and enterprises. They provide the compute power, storage capacity, and networking capabilities necessary for hosting a hyperscale cloud, plus the control and analytics software to monitor and manage it.

Ericsson's hyperscale system embodies our approach to digital industrialization. It provides an infrastructure that can be assembled into hyperscale datacenters as easily as it can be managed at the component level.

Use it to host not only the infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offerings typical of internal, external, and hybrid clouds, but also bare-metal-as-a-service (BMaaS) offerings. BMaaS, in particular, will give you the flexibility to deploy the environments with the business agility, cost, and performance models best suited to either your small, medium, or large business environments, including VMware and OpenStack, all within a single hyperscale infrastructure.
