Patrick Johansson leads the Head of Market Area Europe, Middle East and Africa, serving customers with Ericsson’s innovative technology and services. With an extensive experience in technology and business strategy, Patrick continues to propel Ericsson’s industry leadership focusing on growth and enabling new business opportunities in the region. Patrick Johansson headed Market Area Middle East and Africa since 2024.

In his previous role as Vice President & Head of Business Control and Operations at Ericsson’s Business Area Cloud Software & Services, Patrick focused on scaling key service and product portfolios, investing in automation and delivery transformation, and leading teams to build strong business controls and sustainable outlook for the company in this segment.

Johansson’s background spans multiple Business and Market Areas, having lived in Sweden, Korea, India, Austria, China, and Vietnam since joining Ericsson in 1997. His previous work experience includes roles as Global Head of Sales & Commercial Management for Business Area Networks, Head of Customer Unit Korea, as well as several executive Finance and Business roles.

Patrick brings more than 27 years of international experience and broad knowledge in domains ranging from management to sales, finance, supply and beyond. He holds a Master of Business Administration/Managerial Economics degree from the Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law at University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
