Best places to work

Ericsson has received a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index, which evaluates corporations on their policies and practices pertaining to LGBTQ equality. With the introduction of transgender benefits and updates to corporate policies in 2019, we are committed to keeping Ericsson an inclusive, welcoming place to work in 2020 and beyond.

A message from our leaders

Jennifer Hulett - Vice President of People, Ericsson North America

“One of my proudest memories in our company’s LGBTQ journey was when I joined hands with my fellow Ericsson North America leadership team members during an All Employee Meeting and each of us personally declared our commitment to the LGBTQ community. Our people embraced that action and used it to fuel their own diversity and equality journey.

Margaret Herndon - Vice President Marketing & Communications, Ericsson North America and Executive Sponsor LGBTQ + Allies ERG

“One of the things that is critical for this, is to have support both at the grass roots level but also at the leadership level. When I think of my role as the Executive Sponsor for the LGBTQ [employee resource group], I try to bring that awareness to the leadership team.

Hear from our people

Annie Hsu

“If you’re going to fight for something, the right to love for yourself and others is fundamental. It’s lovely to hear because sometimes you think or underestimate the common experiences we all have.”

David Gifford-Robinson

“Being an inclusive employer that treats everyone equally drives business,” Gifford-Robinson said. “LGBTQ & Allies is having a genuine impact on policies and procedures to make Ericsson a more attractive employer to our community."

Betsy Wilson

“Ericsson has always been a frontrunner when it comes to things like this. However, we went from having it be implied that we are a diverse company to making it a driven mission.”

Liam Gent

“The ERG has worked fairly tirelessly to develop policies around transgender transitioning in the office and on spreading the message that this company is LGBT-affirming and it is safe to be LGBT here"

Anna Holm

“I’m extremely proud to work for a company that allows those involved with LGBTQ & Allies to help Ericsson move forward in this area. I’ve never been as proud to work for Ericsson as I have grown to be here in the U.S., and the ERG is a big part of that.”

Leona Young

“It is everyone’s responsibility to make sure that people can be themselves without fear of retribution. That is part of our corporate values, so I want to make sure the world realizes that not only do we say all the right things, but we walk the walk, too.”
