Christian Leon

Christian Leon leads Ericsson West Europe, covering France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain. The six countries he manages are home to more than 4,500 employees who support some of Ericsson’s key customers.

Christian joined Ericsson in 2010 and brings over two decades of international telecom experience. Prior to his current appointment he was Head of Customer Unit France, BeLux, Algeria & Tunisia for 2 years, Head of Networks and Managed Services for Europe and Latin America for 3 years and acting Head of Private Networks for Europe and LATAM for more than 3 years, where he built and scaled capabilities for 4G/5G private networks. His earlier roles include VP Sales Core & IT for the Verizon customer unit, Head of Commercial Management for the Business Unit Radio in Stockholm, and Director Business Management North America based in Dallas.

An engineer by training, Christian graduated from École Supérieure d’Électricité (CentraleSupélec) in 1998. He has spent large parts of his career in the USA and Sweden, holding both technical and commercial leadership positions that give him deep experience across networks, managed services and enterprise private networks. Before entering the telecom industry, he served as a navigation officer in the French Navy.

A passionate advocate for 5G and its transformative potential, Christian is committed to driving digital transformation, with a particular emphasis on 5G differentiated connectivity and building networks for AI use cases. His leadership is shaped by international experience, technical expertise and a commitment to integrity and collective excellence.
