Sprint announced the availability of its Curiosity Internet of Things (IoT) platform. With Ericsson IoT technology under the hood, this innovative end-to-end solution ushers in a new standard of IoT device and data management.
Sprint Curiosity IoT is powered by Ericsson’s IoT Accelerator and Cloud Core platforms, featuring a virtualized core network and IoT operating system specifically designed for software. Sprint and Ericsson first presented the IoT operating system during Mobile World Congress Americas 2018.
IoT used to be all about capturing data. Today, with 5G capabilities, it’s about immediately turning that data into actionable intelligence. To accomplish this, Sprint has created a new IoT network, purpose-built for better data and device management – with Ericsson at its core. This new approach to building better IoT networks will make it easy for Sprint and its customers to access and use connected intelligence to ensure better customer experience and maximum value.
This partnership will accelerate IoT transformation. Ericsson’s end-to-end solution provides Sprint a distinct advantage in being the first to market with a true, dedicated, distributed IoT network.
This network will allow Sprint to provide their customers with the freedom of greater agility and flexibility, support for a wide range of device options and use cases, and an optimized gateway for enterprises and consumers alike to the global market.
