Ericsson, Telstra and Qualcomm achieve record-breaking 5G uplink speeds, setting a new benchmark for innovation

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC), in collaboration with Telstra and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. today announced a record-breaking uplink speed of 516 Mbps, surpassing the previous record of 447 Mbps in October 2024. This is the highest uplink speed achieved on a live commercial sub-6GHz 5G Standalone (SA) network.

Ericsson, Telstra, and MediaTek achieve major breakthrough with near 10 Gbps 5G downlink speed benchmark

Telstra, in partnership with Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) and MediaTek, has set a new benchmark in 5G connectivity by reaching a peak downlink speed of 9.4 Gbps on its live commercial 5G Standalone (SA) network. In the lab Telstra drove the needle even higher, surpassing the 10 Gbps downlink speed threshold in a mobile network using a non-commercial setup.
