Ericsson and Cisco joint offering

To help evolve the mobile phone into a more powerful enterprise-connected device, Cisco and Ericsson have combined Cisco's leading enterprise collaboration service platform with Ericsson's VoLTE for Unified Communications solution, as a new joint Collaboration Mobile Convergence (CMC) solution.

CMC turns a mobile phone into a powerful enterprise-connected device and provides service providers with the ability to deliver a rich set of collaboration mobility services capabilities. Users can take advantage of Cisco Spark features like messaging, in-line file sharing, and high-definition video conferencing across multiple devices, all triggered by a simple call to a mobile number. Calls can also be moved seamlessly between devices, including the  Cisco Spark Board, with a simple swipe.

Build on Ericsson VoLTE solution

Ericsson’s offering for Voice over LTE (VoLTE) allows operators to offer business users high quality communication services using all-IP technology over LTE based mobile broadband, Wi-Fi and in the future over 5G access. Mobile operators can build on their deployed Ericsson VoLTE network as a baseline.

Ericsson provides an end-to-end VoLTE calling offering, including IMS, LTE-RAN, Evolved Packet Core, Mobile Switching, subscriber data management, BSS/OSS and professional services. In addition, Ericsson performs interoperability testing with leading device and chipset vendors, securing interoperability and fast TTM.

Ericsson has more VoLTE contracts and launched live networks than any other vendor, with live networks across North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific.
